I recently puchased a copy of Diana Ross' book 'Going Back' at the Schomburg Center in Harlem. I was totally floored and entranced by the fantastic photos of Diana Ross' style evolution through the last four decades. I know she is a fashion icon for many of us and we regard her as true queen of sophistication. I hold 'Mahogany' as part of my top five films of all time. Her street sassiness, her intriguing costume designs and finding herself in old world Europe as we all do is so inspiring to watch in this movie. I've shared a few of my favorite looks.
I remember sitting in front of the TV watching her concert in Central Park (1983)and thinking I want to be her. Saw her last year at Radio City Music Hall too, and she shut it down. Thanks for this post. And I've got to get this book!
