SADE/LOVE IS FOUND
I saw Sade, Goddess of Soul, a few weeks back and was mesmerized her performance of this song. I'm glad to see she replicated the format for the video itself. Here it is.
Penelope looking luscious and slick on the V72 cover
V Magazine has the glorious looking Penelope Cruz on it's cover, click here for the full layout. Meanwhile listen to this audio track from one of my fave bands Chromeo which befits her aesthetic.

i heart Jessica 6
I'm mesmerized by images of transgender musician Nomi Ruiz from Jessica 6. Originally from Brooklyn and a former vocalist for Hercules and Love Affair, Nomi founded Jessica 6 and they're on the rise as a major disco pop act as they currently tour the world. She is a playful sex kitten and is purring her way into the music industry's center stage. She is currently featured in V Magazine's #72 'Transformation Issue' shot by Inez and Vinoodh. She has also collaborated with Nicola Formichetti in his new Thierry Mugler menswear campaign as both muse and featured singer.

Jean Paul Gaultier in Montreal
I was in Montreal during the holiday weekend and caught the much anticipated 'La planete mode de Jean Paul Gaultier' at the Musee des Beaux Arts. This show certainly rivals the McQueen 'Savage Beauty' exhibit which showcases his body of work from the last 35 years. From his pret a porter, to couture, to costume design for films and his collaborations with pop icons such as Madonna and Kylie Minogue. This exhibit encompasses his sartorial contributions and guides you through his various incarnations. It was both overwhelming and breathtaking, click here for more info.

Fashion on Film: 'Devdas'
I just recently saw this epic Bollywood film and was taken away by the splendor of India with it's gilded palaces, kitschy dance sequences and the breathtaking beauty of Aishwarya Rai. Though this film has a tragic ending, it is a celebration of life throughout the entire movie- from it's bold vibrant costumes to the men's impeccable styling. Here are a few stand out images that illustrate this film's ornate art direction and costume design.

Alice Springs aka June Newton
While in Berlin a few weeks back I took on the daunting task of visiting at least 6 museums per day for about 5 days straight. Aside from some amazing German Expressionism like Emil Nolde, Max Beckmann, Otto Dix and Kirschner there were some must see contemporary shows. It was my dream to visit the Helmut Newton Foundation, I was awestruck from the very moment I walked in. On the main floor is a display of his life's work complete with all of his notable magazine covers, archival video footage and an installation of his actual living room. On the second floor is a special exhibition of photographs called 'Alice Springs' shot by his wife June Newton who operated under that same alias. Click here for a complete gallery
